Ensure the primer penetrates the substrate and does not leave a film on the surface that could weaken the adhesive. - Painted wall - wash it with painter's soap, and in the case of a thick layer of paint (e.g., silicone, washable), rub with sandpaper (to improve the adhesive's adhesion to the substrate) and degrease. - Wallpapered wall - remove all layers of old wallpaper.
